Choose friends wisely – Moral Story

Today I am going to tell the choose your friends wisely story. This delightful tale reminds us all, especially young children, that the greatest treasure in life is not jewels or adventures, but the loyal and loving friends who accompany us on our journey. A king and his minister were very good friends. They always lived together. Like them, their sons also grew up together and became very close friends. One day prince and minister’s son both went hunting. On the way, the prince felt very thirsty and tired so he decided to take a rest under a tree. The minister’s son went deep into the forest in search of water. Reaching a lake, he saw a beautiful fairy. But a lion was sitting beside the fairy. He slowly took out some water from the lake and returned to his friend.

He narrated the incident to the prince and took him to the lake. On reaching there, he saw that the lion was sleeping in the fairy’s lap.  Prince decided to take the fairy to the palace and left the minister’s son with the lion. After a while when the lion woke up, the minister’s son said that his friend had taken the fairy to the palace. The lion laughed and told him ” If the prince was a true friend, he would never leave you alone with the lion. True friends are always with each other till the end”.

Moral of the story: We should choose our friends very carefully.
