The ugly duckling

The ugly duckling short story

Once upon a time, there was a mother duck who was very happy to be having a family. She laid six eggs, and she sat on them patiently until they all hatched. Five of the eggs hatched into beautiful yellow ducklings, but the sixth egg took a little longer. Finally, the sixth egg hatched, but instead of a yellow duckling, out came a big, ugly duckling.

The other ducklings were mean to the ugly duckling. They made fun of him and called him names. Even the mother duck was not very happy with the ugly duckling. She felt sorry for him, but she could not help but think that he was ugly.

The ugly duckling was very sad. He felt like he did not belong anywhere. He tried to be friends with the other animals on the farm, but they were all afraid of him. He was all alone.

One day, the ugly duckling was swimming in the pond when he saw a flock of beautiful swans flying overhead. He had never seen anything so beautiful. He wished that he could be like them.

The ugly duckling swam after the swans, but they flew away. He tried to follow them, but he was too slow. He was about to give up when he saw a swan land on the shore of the pond. The swan was old and tired, and it could not fly anymore.

The ugly duckling swam over to the swan and asked if he could help. The swan was very grateful, and it told the ugly duckling that it was a swan too. The ugly duckling was surprised. He had never thought that he could be a swan.

The swan told the ugly duckling that he was just a young swan, and that he would grow into his beauty. The ugly duckling was happy to hear this. He stayed with the swan and learned about swans. He learned how to fly, and he learned how to swim.

Over time, the ugly duckling grew into a beautiful swan. He was no longer the ugly duckling that everyone had made fun of. He was now a beautiful swan, and he was loved by everyone.

Moral of the the ugly duckling short story:

The ugly duckling short story teaches us that beauty is not always what it seems. Sometimes, the most beautiful people are those who are on the inside. We should never judge someone based on their appearance. We should always be kind and accepting of everyone, no matter how they look.
