The Frog Prince

The Frog Prince – Short Stories for Kids

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who lived in a grand castle. She had everything she could ever want: a loving family, loyal friends, and plenty of servants to attend to her every need. But the princess was not happy. She was bored and restless, and she longed for adventure.

One day, the princess was playing in the garden when she saw a frog hopping by. The frog was small and green, and it had big, googly eyes. The princess thought the frog was the ugliest thing she had ever seen, and she made a face at it.

The frog hopped over to the princess and said, “Why are you making that face at me?”

The princess was surprised. “Because you’re ugly!” she said.

The frog sighed. “I know I’m not very handsome,” he said. “But I’m not as bad as you think. I’m actually a prince.”

The princess laughed. “A prince?” she said. “You’re just a frog.”

“I was cursed by an evil witch,” the frog said. “The only way to break the curse is for a princess to kiss me.”

The princess laughed again. “I’m not going to kiss you,” she said. “You’re disgusting.”

The frog hopped away, and the princess went back to playing. But she couldn’t stop thinking about the frog. She knew he was telling the truth, and she felt bad for him. She decided that she would kiss him, even though she didn’t want to.

The next day, the princess went back to the garden and found the frog. She took a deep breath and leaned down to kiss him. As soon as her lips touched his, the frog began to change. His skin turned from green to brown, and his eyes became smaller and more human-like. In a matter of seconds, the frog had transformed into a handsome prince.

The prince was so grateful to the princess for breaking the curse. He thanked her over and over again, and he asked her to marry him. The princess said yes, and they lived happily ever after.
