Today, I am going to tell you an amazing story called ‘The Clever Old Woman.’ Once upon a time, there was a kind and clever old woman named Chatur Budhiya. She had a big problem when thieves stole her things. It’s a story about being kind, forgiving, and making friends even when things go wrong.
The Clever Old Woman story:
Once upon a time, there was an old woman named Chatur Budhiya who lived alone in a village. She was a kind and generous woman, and she was always willing to help others. One day, a group of thieves broke into her house and stole all of her belongings.
Chatur Budhiya was devastated. She had worked hard for her possessions, and she didn’t know what she was going to do. But she was also a clever woman, and she quickly came up with a plan.
The next day, Chatur Budhiya went to the market and bought a bag of chickpeas. She spread the chickpeas all over the floor of her house, and then she hid behind a curtain.
Later that night, the thieves came back to steal more from Chatur Budhiya. But when they stepped into the house, they slipped and fell on the chickpeas. Chatur Budhiya jumped out from behind the curtain and shouted, “I’ve caught you, you thieves!”
The thieves were scared. They didn’t know what to do. But Chatur Budhiya was kind to them. She told them that she forgave them, and she even invited them to stay for dinner.
The thieves were surprised. They had never expected to be treated so kindly by someone they had stolen from. But they accepted Chatur Budhiya’s invitation, and they ended up becoming her friends.
Chatur Budhiya taught the thieves a valuable lesson. She showed them that there is always more to a person than their mistakes. She showed them that kindness and compassion are always the best way to solve problems.
